When redecorating and changing the colors of the walls in your home you want it to either be bold, bright, soothing or warm. You want people to recognize the effort you put into “revamping” the place. So lets try something different this time, by “sponge” painting your walls.

Before you go off and just buy paint and start sponging there are a couple of things you should do to better achieve the desired sponge effect.
Required Tools and Materials
Using a natural sea sponge with allow you to get a varied and random patterns. They can be a tad more expensive than regular sponges but are well worth it. It is also very durable as latex paints wash out of them with ease, only requiring one for your project. There are alternate sponges out there, I like to offer my audience the best of anything that would be time saving and nothing too costly.

- Stepladder
- Paint roller
- Painters tape
- Paint tray
- Rags
- Paintbrush
- Latex glaze
- Extender
- Low gloss paint for base
- Latex paints for sponge accents
