If you live in a n area where there are a lot of neighbors, have the kids go door to door (with your guidance) and ask if they would like the paper delivered for a small fee each week. This is a good way to get them in a routine of getting out of bed early, maybe cook you breakfast for a change. LOL
Many families across the world have family-owned businesses and maybe this summer is the summer your child gets a taste of it. Whether it is a family-owned restaurant or a family-owned car wash, your child(ren) can be a great addition to the staff. From busing table to taking out the trash.
Not in hotel , I am talking about chores around the house. Treat cleaning like a job, with pay each week or every two weeks. Have them do the laundry, sweep, wash dishes, walk the dog and etc for a couple hours a day or set chores for each day. Even offer bonuses like cleaning the garage or shed. Building character, patience and organization.
A classic job for young children (over 13) and teens to do when parents are away on date night. Make sure the child can use the phone properly and you feel they are responsible enough to take care of thing while you are out or sitting parent. Pay for sitting can vary, see what kind of prices your kid can think of. No price is a bad price, negotiate! Get with the parents and see if they need sitters at your next tea party.
Only for children who are old enough to operate, teenager 15 and up. This is a tiring and long drawn out job, as it can be stressful for a teen being in the sun to complete lawn jobs. Not all days are hot though, there are the really cool days and depending on where you live that could be everyday. Lucky you! Get a count of the neighbor lawns that don't get mowed as often as needed and see if the teen can offer their services. Its good to have them cut your own yard a few times to show neighbors they are capable.
Have a little Einstein on your hands, well see if helping other kids become little Einsteins as well is something that may interest your child. You can offer your services to parents and offer various courses to tutor that your child is proficient in. Good character builder and allows your child to help someone in need.
Live in the city or by the beach or large parks, this is a good job for teens to do during the summer to earn extra cash. There are many people who take long trips and cannot take their pets, this is a good way to build trust with children and responsibility.
Many people like the little creative things in life and may love your children handmade crafts such as bracelets and necklaces. There are many craft ideas that children can explore and create and sell to start a small business. You never know, could have the next craft on store shelves. Good Luck!! :)
